Susliving Summer Update

Susliving Summer Update

It’s been hectic as usual for us at Susliving, the past few months have absolutely flown by, so here’s a quick update on what we’ve been up to and where we’re all at!

The Electricity Monitoring Programme has proved to be quite the hit, and we currently have 6 schools progressing through workshop 2, which encompasses Module 4, 5 & 6. Kicking off in the new school term, we’ll be launching and integrating our Energy Conservation Plan, allowing for the easy planning and tracking of energy saving and conservation.

Elsewhere, the wide range of school projects are progressing very well and many have been completed, including the “Square Inch Gardening” project in Grennan College, Coláiste Osraí’s Energy Statement and Conservation Plan & School Of The Holy Spirit’s gardening projects.

The Susliving Demonstration Centre at Kingsriver continues to impress and has been attracting attention from outside the Susliving Programme. Over the coming months we hope to spend some time redesigning some of the workshops to better introduce and demonstrate the key skills and knowledge involved in sustainable living.
