St Brigid’s College – Junk Kouture Workshop
Tuesday 3rd May saw a very successful workshop with the Transition Year students at St Bridgid’s Callan. Following on from our previous visits involving workshops on gardening skills and biodiversity, including recycling and re-purposing, the students have taken on a project to use the waste materials from the school to produce unique outfits in the style of Junk Kouture.
Work on the project is well underway and the students are using, plastic bags, newspaper, used photocopy paper, drinks cans etc to make a range of exciting outfits.
The Transition Year students have really embraced the Susliving message over the past school year and the results are evident around the new schools. The window boxes made and planted during the gardening skills and biodiversity workshop are in full bloom looking beautiful and the anti litter drive involving the whole is showing great results!
